The Samsung Galaxy S5 is here. It's Samsung's fifth-generation flagship device and is packed to the gills with the latest technology, including a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, a new Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It's also got a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The display on the Galaxy S5 is slightly larger than the one found on the Galaxy S 4, measuring 5.1 inches in size. Around back, the S5 has a new coating that's similar to the Moto X. The new Galaxy flagship runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with a new toned-down version of Samsung's custom user interface. It includes features from the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 like MyMagazine, a Flipboard-powered data stream that's found just left of the home screen. The Galaxy S5 also has a fingerprint scanner built into its physical home button and a heart rate monitor that's found directly below its rear camera camera.
